Many moons ago, I had someone sign a white leather portion of a goalie blocker. Recently, I saw a whole collection of white footballs where the blue sharpie had bled into the leather and made the autographs look horrible. I am worried this may happen to the blocker. Is there a way to remove without ruining the leather?

For the future...is there anything that can be used on white leather that lasts well?
