    Knicks Select Kristaps Porzingis

I have been in the ups and extreme downs with this team but I believe that Porzingis will be a solid and marquee player with this team!

    THOUGHTS??

The Knicks will screw him up. They always do. When was the last good player they drafted/developed? He seems very talented but I don't know how that will transfer to the NBA or to a team with Carmelo on it.

Didn't like what I saw of him. Very flimsy motor skills. Not much of a build. Doesn't look to have the body type that will put on strength easily, either.

Latvia's two NBA players, btw: Andris Biedrins and Gundars Vetra.

I predict Porzingis to be the bust of the draft.

pwaldo- You could possibly be right on that one.. But I am very upset with the trading of Tim Hardaway Jr, I thought he was going to be that one player we developed into a solid role player!

Durant35- Well, Biedrins was good lol! We'll just have to see what happens but there's no doubt Phil Jackson is making some rash decisions!

ChrisZero- Yeah I felt the same way but hopefully the pick wasn't too spontaneous.

Very likely he will never see the floor in a knicks uni. The genius of phil jackson tonight was getting someone to take an overrated, undersized, poor jump shooting 2 guard in trade and getting a versatile guard back in the deal who can run the point but shoot like a 2. The knicks dont care about porzingis, he was the best possible plan b in case one of the top 3 didn't drop. they could draft this guy and dump him over in europe where everyone will forget about him. The Knicks success will be determined by the way they spend their money in free agency the next two off seasons, not by a number 4 pick in a very forgettable talent pool.

I'll give him a couple of seasons but I expect him to have a Bargnani type career.

I don't know the Knicks seem pretty high on him but I do believe they might pursue a player in a trade that you described ..
