Pittsburgh and Columbus
Hi everybody
I'm suppose to make a trip on october to Pittsburgh and Columbus to see play the Penguins and the Blue Jackets. Do you know some place I can find hockey cards near the two arenas? Not to buy boxes or packs, but individual cards to upgrade my Nordiques PC, maybe. Specialized shop.
Thanks!

Hey,
So hate to disappoint you but in Pittsburgh you won't find much downtown, where the arena is. Now, there is a shop it is called Sports World Specialties, he does have some hockey cards (not many but worth looking). He has mostly Penguins Game Used pieces in hockey, not much more than that, but some. What he does have is an awesome Roberto Clemente collection upstairs, that if you can go see, go see it. I will warn you, he closes down early usually around 3:30 during the week and I don't think he is open on the weekends anymore. The owners name is Danny.
BTW -- there are some other shops around, but not close and not many that would meet what you are looking for.
Hope this helps some.

Yeah I didn't want to reply with false Info but I didn't think there any near the arena here in Pittsburgh. As said above there are some that are in the area but not that close. Also Im not sure they would have many Nordiques.
I would think its probably the same in Columbus but that's just a guessFlickr: Hidden Content

Ok. That why I've asked. I prefer to have the good information and not looking everywhere for a shop if there is no one near the arena.
Thanks!

Unfortunately I agree with the comments about there not being a lot near Consol in Pittsburgh. SportsCards Etc. in McKees Rocks is about the closest. I've mostly picked up boxes and Penguins singles so I don't know if they'd help with the Nordiques quest. Don't judge based on their website, but here's some info:

If you are looking for anything decently priced avoid SportsCardEtc. Many of us know these guys from eBay and other things, just not worth the trip. Very few stores around anymore and those that are mostly have baseball and football.
