Yeah but you've got to be realistic with this type of thing, right? If I was the head of the CS team and saw people dishing out autographs of guys like that in exchange for people who aren't even a footnote in NHL history, there would be some positions coming available real, real fast. Otherwise, everybody out there will be hoping for schlub rookies to not have cards produced so that they can exchange their redemptions for Hall of Famers.

Been in your shoes man and know exactly how you feel. My experience caused me to pretty much stop ripping wax I was so upset, I still am. I received a Michael Jordan auto from the most recent master collection as a replacement. What was the card not made? A Dual Shield Auto 1/1 from 11/12 The Cup of the Jets Kane and Byfuglien. Buff is my favorite player.

My only suggestion and you most likely know this is to play nice in the sandbox and keep your cool, it can be incredibly frustrating going down the replacement road. They most likely will not provide any solid answers and it will be very ambiguous till you get your surprise brown envelope.

I would recommend you correspond by phone with an email follow up. Document what was discussed in an email and make sure you tell them on the phone about the email follow up and you expect some sort of acknowledgment that the email was read with a reply.

I don't think Zemgus Girgensons is quite in that league regardless of what card it is.

Is Girgensons in the same league as them? No. Would this card have been as valuable as some Sid, Mario, Gretzky's, etc that are out there? Yes. I see what he is saying, although I do believe you're right that CS would probably get angry with that having been done. But then again I'm pretty angry myself

Trust me, it's going to be Girgensons or Reinhart pretty much. Not going to let them screw me with former Sabres

Redemptions are the worst and Panini is the worst company to deal with. I have had redemptions open for years on high end cards and then you finally give up and request an exchange and they offer you a bunch of garbage back.
