Hi Cliff,
Happy to sign your cards and appreciate your interest in us old guys. I do get a few requests for my autograph-and always try to accommodate. I loved flying when I was on active duty but never felt the need to fly once I retired. I enjoy golf, hunting, fishing and wood working. My favorite a/c was the A4 Skyhawk (Scooter). That was a fun airplane to fly-
All the best

Vice President Dan Quayle
Former vice president Dan Quayle served as a sergeant in the Indiana Army National Guard from 1969-1975.
In 1978 he was invited to go to Jonestown, Guyana to investigate the Jim Jones’s Peoples Temple cult. He declined, and the guy that had asked him to go along, Congressman Leo Ryan, was murdered by gunman shortly before the mass suicide deaths of most of the cults members.
Dan Quayle later served as the 44th vice president of the United States from 1989-1993 under President George H.W. Bush. Prior to becoming the vice president, he had served as a senator in Indiana from 1981-1989Last edited by CliffAnderson92; 06-18-2016 at 03:12 PM.

Adm.Ronald "Zap" Zlatoper
Adm.Ronald "Zap" Zlatoper served in the United States Navy from 1963-1996. During that time he served in both the war in Vietnam and in Desert Storm. Early in his career he flew many attack missions over North Vietnam in the A-6 Intruder aircraft.
During Desert Storm, Adm.Zlatoper was in command of the USS Ranger (CV-61) battle group that included 8 ships. His ships launched the first cruise missile and aircrafts attacks against Iraq. It was also his ships job to attack the Iraqi Navy during the war.
Adm.Zlatoper flew 150 missions during the Vietnam War and flew 1 mission in Desert Storm. He flew more that 4,000 flight hours during his career and was winner of the 1971 East Coast A-6 Bombing Derby. He was one of only a few pilots to have flown combat missions from air craft carriers in both Vietnam and Desert Storm.
He amassed 1,031 carrier landings including 300 at night and never had a wave off because of bad technique! Early in his carrier he had said that the A-6 Intruder was the ugliest plane that he had ever seen, but it ended up being the plane that he flew the most and was exceptionally successful with.
Nov 18.
Dear Cliff,
Here are your autographed cards. Thank you for your note. My favorite airplanes to fly were the A-6 “Intruder” for attack work and the F-14 “Tomcat” for air to air combat. (I flew both)
