GenCon and then an WNBA game

Part of vacation this last weekend was going to GenCon with my wife and daughters.
~ Marina Sirtis who played Deanna Troi on Star Trek The Next Generation was signing on the day my daughter drug us off to GenCon. She only charged $40 for a autographed 8x10 and took time to talk with everyone! Should you ever get the chance to get her autograph in person she is wonderful to her fans!
~My oldest is into a card game called Magic and GenCon had a gallery set up with a ton of SciFi artist where you could purchase their art. I was able to obtain a 11x14 print signed, an autographed card that the print was based off of and artist proof of the card with the artist doing original art on the back for her for only $35! The artist was really nice and I plan on framing it up for my daughter as a gift. This seems to be a yearly event for any gamers out there. We found a bargain on that as well as my daughter set up a Sunday pass for a family of 4 for only $35! Some folks dressed as characters and it was definitely worth the admission just to people watch!
~ WNBA Indianapolis vs Connecticut was great! $28 a seat had us 3 rows from the floor in the corner, free T shirts and free concessions package as well! The side we were on was where the Connecticut gals came out from. My youngest daughter got a good number of them before the game and they seemed really friendly! You can not beet the seat prices as they were such a bargain compared to NBA tickets! We will definitely consider doing another WNBA game in the future.
