how is UD with old redemptions?
I picked up a box of 12/13 series 1 (I know, pretty bad year, but it was dirt cheap and I'm just getting back into the hobby), and pulled a rookie 2 trade upper deck that expired November of last year. What are the odds I can get something for it if I were to try redeeming it from Upper Deck?

Pretty slim. You'd have to call in and see if they can honour or exchange it. I know that at some trade shows (i.e. Toronto Expo) they do have a thing for expired redemption exchange but not sure about general.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Last time I pulled one (it was a SOTT x3 of Orr, Esposito, and Bucyk) I called, and they sent the card out to me right away (that was from 11-12 SPA). They told me at the time, they honor everything for a year after the date.
Recent posts lead me to believe this is no longer true though. Seems like they tossed that policy out the window as soon as they got their exclusive back.

I thought they added a year to old redemptions did they not? I had an expired redemption put with the added year I was still okay. Only issue is you might have to contact them directly (phone/e-mail) as opposed to entering it into their website.

You MIGHT be ok with 12/13. Give them a call.
Generally though, they're the worst in the biz. :)
