DNA test results spur questions in Kane case
DNA evidence does not confirm a woman’s allegations that Patrick Kane raped her, four sources familiar with the case told The Buffalo News.
DNA tests taken from a rape kit conducted on the woman showed no trace of Kane’s DNA was found in the woman’s genital area or on her undergarments.

It does not mean nothing happened, but it is certainly suspicious...

Still, Kane’s DNA was found beneath the woman’s fingernails and on her shoulders, according to two of the sources, one of them a member of law enforcement.
Still a long way to go in this case.Habs fan and collector! Main PC's: Carey Price, Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and of course...

Huge unfortunate development in the Patrick Kane case. The victim's lawyer did a press conference at 1:00 and said the envelope which contained the rape kit was anonymously left on her mother's doorstep. Additionally, the lawyer says he was able to verify that the envelope is authentic. The lawyer says that rape kits are always secured and only ever opened in a few select places such as a courtroom. He now wants an independent investigation from an outside law enforcement agency such as the state police or FBI as to how it could have been removed and tampered with.
Story developing. I'm sure there will be some news articles shortly with more detail from the press conference.Last edited by flemingc04; 09-23-2015 at 07:04 PM. Reason: Clarified that it was the envelope found.

As I commented in a earlier thread about this incident. If you have lots of money you can usually get away with anything in the US.
The want list at this link features what I need of Gretzky, Roy, Ottawa Senators, and Miscellaneous sets. I also have a CFL want list on my page and if you have nothing from it I will consider other traders of current Ottawa Senators,Guy Lafleur, + trade bait.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. Since the press conference with the accuser's lawyer, Kane's lawyer made a statement saying that both parties have been told that none of Kane's DNA was found from the waist down and that "Only someone who is unhappy with the DNA results would have a motivation to claim that it’s compromised", and "We are obviously quite pleased with the DNA results.".
Additionally, the agency responsible of the evidence says that everything is accounted for including the rape kit and envelope.

This is one bizarre story. Who knows what the actual story is...

A sad reflection of our society. Regardless of whether or not Kane is guilty he has proven to be an embarrassment to himself, his teammates, and his family. It's too bad that he continues to put himself in bad situations which mar his reputation as a great hokey player and potential hall of famer.
