Received this beauty from a box of this year's 14-15 UD Artifacts:

I guess you can see where my vote went ...

But UD Artifacts can be really hit or miss (A lot of products can fit in that category, sadly.)

SP Authentic is a strong second for me. A lot of collectors chase sets, so in terms of value and/or "movability", it's good in that respect. Plus the FWA's are always nice cards to hit, and the cards look great in general.

Value-wise, I dont think Artifacts stacks up to some of those. But in a purely aesthetics point of view, they have always been my favorite looking cards. I also liked the way Prizm looked, but they sucked for value.

I really enjoyed opening Prizm, but the value isn't really there if you are looking to flip. It was a fun set to build, especially with the inserts, etc. Nice looking cards too.

For me this was a choice between the lesser of seven evils. I wasn't quite sure which incarnation of Be A Player you were referring to. I loved BAP in the early 2000's (memorabilia, signature series, etc...), but was not fond of their earlier, or later work.

Consistency-wise, I went with SP Authentic. They have been strong for many years.

Artifacts and Black Diamond are laden with too many parallels. Game Used and SPX are priced too high for me. And Prizm was a fun set but, too many parallels, seemed overproduced, and too much "meh" when you were done breaking.
