I have to ask does anyone think the M.Richard signature VS full Maurice Richard will effect the value of the card?

Not really as it a 1 of 1. If there were different versions out there one could make that argument. I am sure other will chime in with their thoughts.

This is the kind of card if I were to sell it via the ebay route. List it as a BIN/BO for say $1200, and just sit on it until someone gave me at least $8-900 for it. Heck someone might just hit the bell at $1200. That's never a losing situation..... Except for fees..... Deadbeat non-paying ebayers.... Scammers...... Ah well just enjoy the card when you have it in hand, and then you decide!

Thanks everyone for all of the opinions. Kind of a wide variety, but that's to be expected. I myself had a wide range in my head too.

Bro, that's incredible. I seen that on the checklist and being a 1/1 I thought I would never be able to see it. I mean 1/1's can go years before finally being pulled. I don't really know about the value (definitely more than the $300 suggested) but I would hold onto it and definitely don't take the first offer you get no matter how enticing it is.

Gorgeous card. You'll get a lot of money out of that one for sure if you decide to move it. Even if you're not a Habs fan though you gotta lot that card, just PC it and make it a nice centrepiece.

I'm probably somewhere in this range. It's gonna be one of the coolest cards I own for sure, and while it's not strictly PC, I don't see myself being in any hurry to move it, even if I do end up listing it. I'm just like to have an idea of what each card I have is worth, even if it's a PC card.

This is a great great great question that I never even thought about. I appreciate doniceage's opinion on the matter. Interested if anyone else has thought about that too.

It wouldn't affect MY valuation of the card if I were in the market for it, but I suspect (purely my gut feeling) that there are some purists out there - who would also happen to be the ones most likely to pay well for this card - who would devalue it slightly for the initial vs. full...10-15% max deduction. So, I'd be in the $300-$350 range either way, but they might be looking at $500-$550 versus $600-$650, if that makes sense.

the reason i ask is because when i was in the market for my Richard auto one of my major concerns was the appearance of the autograph. With that being said i wonder if it could effect the autographs price positively as the M.Richard auto is far more rare(I'm assuming as I've never seen one but have seen plenty of the full signature)

That is a very nice hit. Better than any hits I have got in group Breaks. Although I did win a Mcdavid jersey. That could go anywhere from 250.00 to 3000.00 who knows. I am sure you will have lots of bids if you do decide to auction it off.

Given that the Tim Horton sold on ebay for $587, has a much less visually appealing auto, and this is Maurice bleepin' Richard, I think you're looking at a pretty high three digit price tag here if not more, congrats on the huge hit!

As a Maurice collector I'd have to say getting his auto with only his initial is more rare then his full name and should fetch more then his full name. I own a few of his autos and comparing to how low it's numbered I have to say since a /50 is about worth 250, numbered to 30 copies are valued roughly around 400 and numbered to 9 copies fetch up to 600 so a 1/1 IMO would easily get you 800... Btw she's a beauty, congrats on your luck

Wow. That's a monster card. I'd have to say $1000 USD as well, the right collector that considers it a must have, may go even higher. Habs fans hold the biggest fan base in the hobby, and like you pointed out a true 1/1, upperdeck and NHL liscenced, trumps any Leaf cut auto produced of him. Acetate cards are also very collectible and look beautiful, so that will also help your selling value. Arguably the most recognizable Hab of all time, and being dead they will eventually run out of things to cut the autos from him. Congrats again! Very nice and best of luck.
