The Edmonton Screwjob
That puck is in the net.

Everybody in the arena knew it, everybody watching the game at home knew it.
The NHL needs to get with it. We can send and receive data to/from a space hovering near Pluto, but we can't figure out if a stupid rubber disc goes over a red line.
If the Oilers miss the playoffs by one point, remember this night.Last edited by RGM81; 10-26-2015 at 12:43 AM.

Refs will get the call wrong. It happens, I understand that.
They use video replay to confirm calls. When a replay clearly shows that puck is in, I don't understand how you can still get it wrong. I have my doubts that it will come down to this single point.... but a pathetic showing for the NHL, refs, and replay on this one.

In football (soccer), they have finally introduced Goal Line technology. Within 1-2 seconds of a ball entirely crossing the goal line, the referee is informed if it's a goal or not. It's been an amazing enhancement to the game, especially during frantic moments when the referee or linesman cannot clearly see the ball on the goal line.
Can't understand how it's not been implemented in hockey yet.
