    PSA 10 cards

    Everyone,
So I went to a small mall show here this weekend and was able to pickup 19 Mario base cards all graded PSA Gem MT 10. There were 2 doubles in there which was fine, but how in the world do you put a price on these. Now, I know that Rc's have a huge swing in price, and any PSA 10 is hard to get. So the question is are they worth 10x the regular or 100x the regular? Looking for thoughts and ideas, they are PC and I only paid $5 each so I am pretty happy. LMK what you guys think, some examples of what I got are below:

Oh and BTW if anyone has graded Mario to trade let me know, I am starting to put some together now.....

    Thanks
    Thad

Honestly they're only worth $5-$10. It's not really worth paying to get base cards graded. His 80's and some 90's cards are worth more than the newer stuff. Some of his stuff would sell for $20-$30 as PSA 10.

There are quite a few PSA 10 base cards that sold for $5.25 CAD on eBay recently. But still, if I was a Lemieux collector I wouldn't hesitate to buy these for $5 each. It's always nice to have graded 10 cards in your collection.

I would think that 96 McDonalds card would be worth the most, maybe $25. Really depends what the population is and easily a particular set receives damage.

I've never been into the graded card thing - but my impression is that it's all driven by popularity of the card, and population of the 10s.

Not sure how much people are chasing the cards you got (maybe a "key" base card from the 90s like 1990-91 UD or OPC Premier would fetch a big premium?) but if the populations are low (that'd be the thing to check) then there could be a really nice premium.

A quick search on PSA shows me that there have been 5 graded copies of that McDonalds card, for example. 3 are 10s, 2 are 9. I'm not sure how much Lemieux collectors are chasing one of those, but only 3 PSA 10s out there? Might be worth something??

I think you did really well for $5 each though.

Thanks for the replies, you guys are saying pretty much what I was thinking as well. I would never send in base cards for grading, paying $8 for a grade and have it be worth at best $10 or even $25 doesn't make sense. I think having them in my collection is pretty cool, but I will not go out of my way for them. Now, some older cards in high grade, yeah those I will be looking at more.

    Thanks for the replies!!
