Even though you don't have a trade list, this is a useful tool that you have used. If I had any Enroths I could easily check to see if you have them already. That's one way to start off a trade avenue. Unfortunately I have none at the moment.
I am an advocate of our Inventory Manager system here on SCF. Yes it is a bit sluggish, and can be time consuming adding, and updating cards into and out of it, but because of it some of my deals I have made have involved hundreds of cards. Without it I might have a feedback score double what I have now by making lots of smaller trades.
I do keep a site secondary to using the IM here. One advantage to it even though it's not a spreadsheet is using the ctrl+f function. I have a very detailed trade page so you can look up your player or team. I link SCF images to it. You can see that by looking at my Game Used/Autos page. All the thumbnails are from the IM. I have some old links from photobucket still on there, but never use that anymore. I don't think I've logged into mine for three years now. I just think the IM is way cleaner. Besides I like Card details beside the image. I like information to go with my images... My beef with looking at pb is gang scans(not knowing card#'s) and the dreaded sideways oriented(inverted) images I have to turn my head to look at. Ugh!
If there is one suggestion I may make for everyone here. When it comes to the IM, and you don't use it. Just take the time to to click on all the cards in your want list there. Don't even input your traders. Not even your PC cards. Not yet anyway. After you have your entire want list in the IM(Yes it will take a bit of time). Do the search to see who has what you want in the IM. You'll have a good chance of finding what you're looking for from those of us that use it. Yes you'll find some members that use it aren't completely active. I was one, and a couple a times when I was not really trading I was messaged for cards I had. Once I saw the email notifications I came on to check it out, and made some trades. I've done that with a couple other members too. It's really not a bad tool to try out.
Sharky94 is spot on in every part of his post. Especially on the organizing part. It's way easier to make a trade with someone who has an organized trade list or bucket. Simple little things like that make the experience palatable! For those of you that don't have a list. You have nothing to worry about. If you do find someone that has all their beans in one can with a straight forward trade list, and want list, then you have the power to make up a trade proposal if the cards align properly. On your part there is no need have a list handy. The only trouble with that is you might not be able to make trades with other people that don't have a list.Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd
