I didn't break a lot of OPC Platinum last year as my LCS only carried the $200 jumbo boxes. Ended up building the sets via Blasters and Retail boxes when they went on clearance. I may wait on this year's set too and build it that way.

One question for the people who collected 14/15 OPC Platinum -- I've found many of my cards starting to "bow" / "bend" despite being in sleeves. Anyone else having this issue? Could it be an issue with them coming out of Blaster packs?

No, its a common problem with "metaled" cards. See all the "Chrome" sets from the early 2000s. Guess they haven't found a way to prevent it yet. The only thing you can do is put each card in a hard plastic holder; it doesn't fix the problem. Once you take it out, it will start to bend again. But as long as you keep it in, it'll be OK. Doesn't make storage or display any easier though.

I put together the entire set of 02-03 Topps Chrome Refractors, and each one is in a hard plastic case. I had wanted to put them in a binder, but they would be ruined by now if I had done that.

Yeah, I've noticed this too. Thankfully the chrome'd OPC cards I own aren't very valuable, so I can store them in a binder and not be overly concerned about the bending ruining the cards movability down the road.

Guess I'll move some of the lower numbered cards into plastic holders. Got the base set in a binder, think I'll keep them there for now as they seem ok.

Seriously, that is overkill. Three to four parallels would be fine. Eleven is just way too many! Even if you wanted to, you couldn't display those in any reasonable manner.

With the recent bumps of SPx and Showcase, I can't see them doing Platinum within two weeks of those releases.

Weird how you get a month gap from UD2 to SPx, and then all of a sudden BAM! BAM! BAM! here's a bunch of products.
