Need some advice
This year I went to a Marine Corps Birthday Charity Ball. It is ran by a non-profit organization and holds various fundraisers throughout the year. The proceeds go back into the community and scholarships for Marines, FMF Corpsmen veterans, Marine Corps League member, as well as children, step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of any Marines who have lost their lives in the line of duty. One of the ways money is raised to fund the scholarships is a silent auction that is held the night of the charity ball. While attending this year’s ball and viewing the items at the silent auction, I was underwhelmed at the items they had acquired.
I am a US Army veteran and am in NO way associated or affliated with the Marine Corps League. Even though I am not associated, as a fellow veteran I am taking it upon myself to try and obtain items from various celebrities so that I can donate these items to the silent auction to help raise funds for this worthy cause. I am incurring all costs for this endeavor. These costs are covering the photos, postage, matting and framing of each photo.
I have collected autographs for a few years, but I know there are some out there with more experience doing it. I already have a few for next years event (Everson Walls, Brian Cushing, Jeff Foxworthy, Andy Grammer and Thomas Rhett). But my question is, who do you think it would be good to go after? Any advice or help would be appreciated.
