The Power of Base Cards. Take a Look!

It is getting close to almost 3 years now that we have been open for business (Breakaway Sports Cards) and the one thing we have tried to do is give back when we can. A large portion of our business is done through group breaks and because of that we are always left with an abundance of base cards. Not many people that participate in breaks request their base cards so we pack them up in 3200 count boxes and sell them for $30 a piece.

We have collected a decent amount of money through the base cards again this year and decided to purchase toys and canned goods for Mission Services here in Hamilton, Ontario. The pictures that we took are of toys that we have spent about half of the $4,000 we have received through the base card money and some funds from ourselves. Another $1,000 will be spent on toys and the rest on food and other items in need like diapers. Our card store turned in to a toy store this morning!

We would like to thank all of those that have participated in our breaks who have left their base cards with us. Also, there have been several members on here who have donated base cards from their own collections this past year. We are grateful for the position we are in and are extremely happy that we have the ability to give back to those that are in need.
