15/16 prizm thoughts on changes????
I do really like the cards. The base cards look awesome. But it is now 4 cards per pack, 1 auto per box and they are more expensive? Prizm has always been the best bang for your buck. Anyone else notice the changes and if so, what are your thoughts?

Their Autograph checklist is fairly stellar this year, so I'm ok with the price. General consensus appears to be that they improved the product from last season. I got a box and enjoyed it. Only thing I'm not a fan of is you can't get anywhere near a complete set from a box with a large set and few cards per pack. I guess they geared the set more toward case breakers this year, following a major collecting trend. I'm not able to afford cases, so I have to accept that this isn't oriented toward me in that manner. Oh well; I was able to get most of the Hoops set complete from one box, so there was that product for set building instead, for us cheap box breakers.

It seems like Prizm has become so popular that Panini is trying to eventually make it move expensive and high end. Just check out the super high end stuff they are trying to release now and it almost seems like cheap basketball products that provide you with value with be gone soon.

I like how they limited autos and low numbered parallels, the hobby needs scarcity back. The designs on last years were too cropped and pics were blown up, just awful imo. This year's are so much better. Having good photography with hard to find parallels was the key for 12-13 Prizm's success.
I don't like the college autos, although they are on card.

A decent product without a $5000 price tag.

I realized after I posted this I got a case hit. I think it is anyway. It is the steph curry team USA card. I am gonna buy the rest of the box. I got 10 packs. The curry card and Okafor rookie were the nice ones. But I really liked the base cards. I got a Kareem base card and was really impressed with the way it looked. I am going back to get the other packs from the box. The jumbo box is the buy. 2 autos but 12 cards per pack. I will be buying those

Yeah I hear you to some degree for sure. But, no one here pays top dollar for anything. I have had a really hard time getting less than BV/ebay here. I've had to come down 40% because n one wants to pay anything. So you limit the number of goodies. So people end up sitting on cards anyway. The buyer just ends up not getting a lot of value in the packs. I have bought 22 packs now and it is clear the good stuff is now scarce. So now you have to spend a FORTUNE on cards before you get some stuff you like. The packs also have 4 cards. So now the likely hood is even lower. I would rather be able to sell at a lower price in frequently, than sell at a low price anyway lol but the jumbo box looks like the way to go. 12 cards per pack and twelve packs I believe. in 22 packs I got a very weak auto. a couple all-star cards and 2 base rookies. but you do make a lot of good points
