As the world prepares to descend on Rio for the 2016 Summer Olympics, Topps is highlighting many of the top Americans hoping to bring home the gold. 2016 Topps US Olympic and Paralympic Team Hopefuls trading cards spotlight many of the athletes that are already household names in America as well as some who will likely emerge as heroes.

The overall structure of the product is similar to the past couple of Topps Olympic products from 2014 and 2012. Hobby boxes come with an autograph, a relic and a manufactured relic.

its hard to get excited about this project, because the design seems almost identical to the previous ones. for some reason, the Russian games killed my interest in the olympics, at least from a collecting point of view...

I agree. I wonder how many will be sticker autos. Hopefully UD used the entire 4 years to secure some on-card stuff!
