Black is back
I loved the old UD Black but it had some problems ie. Redemption loaded and i didnt like manufactured patch autos for the rookies it looks here like ud took those out for hard signed! what are your thoughts? any idea on price? http://www.cardboardconnection.com/2...k-hockey-cards

These are going to be some awesome hockey cards. Back in the day, due to the insidious number of manufactured rookie lettermen, I would never have opened a box of this stuff, and instead just cherry-picked singles. This stuff packs a much mightier wallop. Hello group breaks!
This is still one of my favourite cards in the Carey PC:

So bring on the 2016 edition!

i really hope that ud patch is just there as a mock up and they dont really put that into black because it was a disater in black diamond

Nice! UD Black was awesome, can't wait to see it again! Some great cards in those mock ups. I like what I see !

Look at the jersey he's wearing on the card.... it's a PA jersey, not an Oilers.
Would it shock anyone if UD Patches were on some of the photoshoot jerseys, and now being used in cards?
(BTW - I agree. Upper Deck logos on cards, as part of the brand, are entirely appropriate. UD Logos as pieces of memorabilia "hits" do nothing for me)

The thing I liked most about UD Black was the manufactured letters and how they all looked good together.
