    NWHL/CWHL cards

I've had a fun time watching the NWHL this season. It's quality hockey played by the world's best women in the game. Makes me really want to pick up some cards. I know Classic and ITG have dabbled in women's hockey in the past, but was wondering how likely one of the major card companies (UD, Topps, Panini, Leaf/ITG) would jump on snatching up rights to major production of NWHL/CWHL cards. Might be a great way for Topps or Panini to get back in the hockey card game.

I would be really surprised. I would expect that we will keep seeing a small influx of them, here or there (thinking specifically about HOF players, Team Canada, potential Team USA down the road) but I really dont see much interest outside of that.

Putting a few players into other sets, to mix things up, I think that works and there is enough interest in the players that it works. Making a whole set?? I just can not see more than a dozen (or so) players generating any interest in the hobby, so I do not see a set like this working too well.

Maybe have two insert sets of All-Stars? One from each league?

To start, I would definitely expect to see some limited inserts or maybe a small Auto'd set, or something of the sort. That would be awesome! I would definitely pick up some.

You and me both! I'd like to pick up some Hilary Knights and Brittany Otts.

This kind of stuff I think could work.

A larger scale set would be tough.... I don't think enough people watch it... but if you use players from the National Teams, names that are recognizable, I think in a limited capacity it could have some interest.

I've gone to a Buffalo Beauts game and watched some other online and I'd definitely pick up some NWHL or CWHL cards. Or stickers like the Panini books which are always fun. I'd dig a whole set, but inserts would be nice too. I'd rather get a Hilary Knight or Megan Bozek card than the lame Shooting Star inserts from Series 1.

I think they need to somehow insert them into Series 1 and 2 without making them just that - inserts. It would be nice to maybe have NWHL All-Stars in one release and CWHL All-Stars in the other, added on as base cards at the tail end of either release.

I really like this idea! Would be awesome add-ons + would give the NWHL/CWHL some great exposure to those collectors who are new to the hobby as well.
