For me I enjoy going to my LCS. They do a lot of framing for me, we shoot the breeze, they know me by name, and as a local business owner myself I want to support other businesses in my community.

With that being said not everyone has a LCS 15 mins away. I can see this being a huge thing especially over seas or more rural buyers who have hours to drive to hit the next LCS. More than likely when they go to town they will still buy a box or two. But this will definetely fill that itch and save a 4 hour drive for a box of S1

It's great for UD from a business sense, they can bypass the middle men LCS and distributors and sell direct to the consumer, at middle man prices. $90 USD is less then LCS now, but it's more then release price. The consumer also don't have to wait for an LCS to be opened to buy product or for an online store to ship, they can go on anytime of day and break away. I was curious as to why Exclusives /100 were not inserted 1 per box as was the case in the past. It makes sense now. I've also seen a crazy abundance of McDavid YGs pulled from these Eboxes, seen 5 pulled from 11 boxes and 90 packs, not bad considering he also got a Eichel and Larkin Canvas. Then there was also a HG Condon on Facebook, 2/10. Again, a smart business monuvere to load the packs, and attract consumers to buy direct from UD....and charge them to ship the cards they want.

Im really curious to see if they do this with other products. Especially SP Authentic, as it's usually advertised at 3 autos per box, 1 being a FWA but usually averaging 2....well now I wonder will they just stck the 1 FWA and toss in some more non numbered autos like scrub SOTT so they can keep the FWAs for the Epacks/boxes loading them so more collectors will buy from the source and UD can avoid the middle man, shipping and access printing as lots of guys won't want the base, and UD can charge the consumers more, per box or case then they would charge the distributor that's buying bulk. Be interesting to see how it all plays out. Like I said, I think it's a great move by them as a company, from a Bu$ine$$ stand point, but I'm not sure the effect it will have on the overall hobby community, from LCS and distribution centres, to case breakers and random pack buyers. It's a game changer in my opinion and not necessarily for the better.

Read it again. 10 base cards gets you a Silver Foil Board parallel and 5 YG's gets you a Silver Foil Board YG.

What are the chances that S1 wax goes down as sales for eboxes goes up and takes away from those sales? Next to none, unless stores/distributors want to lose money, since UD sells them the wax, and then goes and sells their eProducts while undercutting the distributors they just sold all their wax to? :P

I hope you realize the obvious contradiction in your statement there.

The physical card component of the e-Pack program--YG's, inserts, etc.--are all cards that exist. They've already been run through the press. Why would you expect a discount AND free shipping? You're buying cards from Upper Deck, not SCF members. LOL

I thought they only ship hits? Do I get base shipped as well? I expect free shipping because I can go 5 mins and get the physical box in my hands. I would rather go to the LCS but I agree it's a good idea for remote collectors and new collectors.
