    All-Star Saturday night ROCKED! Thoughts?

Every event was exciting - the Towns surprise in the Skills Challenge, Klay vs. Steph with Klay coming out in the 3 pt, and that EPIC dunk contest.

Consensus is that the dunk trophy should have gone to Gordon, and I agree, but regardless of the winner, that duel between LaVine and him might be the most exciting display I've ever seen in the dunk contest. Absolute SHOW! Stuff I didn't think was humanly possible! The body flexibility of those two is off the charts, which is why they can pull off stuff that other players can't.

    Up there with MJ/Nique? Vince/T-Mac?

What do you think? Where would you rank it?

The Skills Challenge was fun to watch. I originally picked Clarkson and thought the bigs had zero chance to win. Boy was I wrong. I didn't know The Big KAT had 3-pt range.

The Kevin Hart/Draymond Green skit was funny.

The 3-pt Shootout was even more fun to watch. I picked Steph to repeat as champion - wrong again but he was the runner up. Wasn't Bosh supposed to be in this? I'm happy Klay won. Devin Booker looks like he's going to be a great player for the Suns and he's just 19, wow.

Does anyone know the music act that preceded the Dunk Contest? Some indie pop rock band called, "Walk The Moon"? Seriously, who are the people that choose musical acts for professional sporting events nowadays? Coldplay was such a poor choice for Super Bowl 50 too! What happened to bands like Metallica? RHCP? Van Halen? Even last year's ASG in NYC - we had the hometown kid Nas for like 1 song. But some girl Arianna Grande for like 15 minutes. What?!?

As for the Dunk Contest, I fell asleep after the first round of dunks. Not any knock on this event, it's just I didn't get any sleep the night prior, up all day Sat. and totally crashed late Sat. night.

First rounds with Drummond and Barton were boring, but you missed arguably the greatest dunk contest of all time between Gordon and Lavine.

How Lavine got a 50 for the dunk after AG's 360 with the mascot I will never know.

I'll have to check out the slam dunk contest now since it is getting such high praise. Honestly I think the timing of the NBA All Star stuff is pretty poor so I miss most of it and lately it hasn't been worth it.

Great dunk contest. Greatest of all time? Not sure about that.

Greatest single dunk contest performance of all time goes to Vince in 2000. Case closed.
