ePack Code to Greatness Connor McDavid

UD sent out this email this morning:

Have you combined your Instant Impressions and Code to Greatness sets on Upper Deck e-Pack™ for a card #0 or #00? If so, those cards are now available to be shipped or transferred to COMC.

You can collect e-Pack exclusive inserts Instant Impressions (1:10 packs, on average) and Code to Greatness (1:10 packs, on average) in 2015-16 UD1 Hockey packs purchased on e-Pack.

If you complete an entire Instant Impressions or Code to Greatness set on e-Pack, you can combine that set and redeem it for a rare card #0 from that set, with the ability to have the physical card mailed to you.

Want even more of a challenge? Collect and combine 20 copies of the Instant Impressions or Code to Greatness card #0 on e-Pack to redeem them for an ultra-rare Portrait SP variation of the corresponding card, with the ability to have the physical card mailed to you.

So you litteraly have to buy something like 20 epack CASES to maybe have a chance at a card that has nothing but a photo variation?
Sometimes it feels like they take collectors for brainless millionaires. Oh well, can't spell Upper Deck without C-R-U-D.

I'm out. Not even going to attempt it. Not a chance. Not worth it IMO.

But guys, they learned their lesson with Sid, and won't be overproducing cards of McDavid this year. LOL

I just don't get it, that would take a lot of opening & combining to get to that. But someone, somewhere must be spending that much coin.

This. Haven't seen the number of McDavid RC's so far compared to Crosby, but to me it seems like there's a new McDavid card around every corner!

As was said above, if it's 20 cases....for a lot of guys 20 cases is before lunch material.

So it'll be out there, but not readily abundant. Probably.

The trading platform is suppose to open soon. I think they are hoping you will trade and work your way up to 20. Can't imagine someone opening 20 cases just for that card. Who knows though...I have been wrong before.

Edit: As it turn out I am wrong...someone has one listed on COMC. Can't imagine opening 20 cases of epacks...wow.

    Just to add to that...

I opened a case and haven't combined. I am waiting for the trading platform to open up.

I think since so much has been transferred out from epacks anyone who left their cards there could bring a premium.

The website states once you transfer out it can't go back. Might not be a ton on the market for anyone looking to buy young guns to combine.
