Looks like you did great! Do they do this event every year? If I'm down next year for Spring Training, maybe this will be on my agenda.

I was there too- I'm 28 years old and very tall (6'6") and I was with my wife. Maybe you saw me.

I had a great time as well- my results are here. https://www.sportscardforum.com/threa...lcome!/page137

I didn't get as many duplicates as you (I only had 2 mini helmets for the NFL guys and was running out of baseballs for the rest), but we both pretty much tackled the whole list.

Schmidt wasn't giving great sigs, but he wasn't ruining everything either. Mine came out OK, which is about as good as you are going to say for a free schmidt. He took my wife's ball with sharpie though so he still does ruin some.

I did get Winston, but I had to literally sprint like 200 yards to catch up to his golf cart- the story is in my thread.

Anyways, I hope someday I get to graph golf like this again.

I didn't chase Winston, he showed up late and I knew that everybody would be after him. Wish I had gotten Donaldson a couple more times (I had 4 of the Blue Jays SIs and got 2 signed at the golf tournament). I wish I started doing the golf tourneys a long time ago, now I see why people love them so much. As one guy I know said, if you go for a baseball team, you have maybe 2-3 stars. If you go to a golf tournament, you have 25-30 stars and they know people are going to want autographs.

Walker066, this event is every year during spring training, it's a guarantee of a bunch of good autographs and likely you can get 2-3 of some of the guys. The list changes every year but it was about 3/4 of the same people this year as it was last year. Parking is $10 and admission is free, look for the celebrity pro-am which is on the first day.

Thanks Mike. If I head back down next year, I need to do this event. I did see Johnny Damon post something about this on twitter, but I really didn't look into it.
