2015 Topps UFC Chronicles Hobby box for review

First and foremost, I'd like to thank our sponsors at Topps for providing us with this box.

Upon opening the box I was surprised to find 10 jumbo packs which would yield 40 cards per pack. With a large base set of 275 cards you will need everyone of those base cards to try to complete a base set. The one thing that is sad is that you will get more than a few triplets of cards. You would think Topps would do a better job of the collation to give collectors a full set out of one box. Unless that is the idea of needing a few base and hoping a collector will buy another box to finish off the set. Out of the base set we completed almost 91 percent (250 of 275).

The photos chosen for the cards are better than most sports as most are action shots. I wish the stock of the cards was a little thicker but due to the number of cards per box there would be no way to make that happen.

The autograph checklist is great and there's plenty of value to be had. One might not hit the current star or flavor of the day in McGregor or Roussey but might hit someone that might be popular overnight like Nick Diaz. You never know the card you hit might be the flavor of the day down the road with the large auto checklist.

There is also great value in the parallels if you hit a red or sepia. As they will bring a pretty penny on eBay for pc collectors or folks working on a parallel set.
