Im still getting quite a few base for base trades, though all are requests from other people. I had a few declined this morning and yesterday but only from people who were send me 3 cards for every 2 you take sort of things.

I've been doing that because I hit my 70 Isles Foil base (10 of each player). I'm trying to move all of my base out for 1 card (any random insert honestly).

It seems it has just become a bunch of people only looking to trade in their favor, and it's stupid because that's the people who already have a whole boatload of cards, and they need the trade to be in their favor. I got called an idiot because I wouldn't accept giving up 3 base for 1 I needed. People on there are just getting dumb

I agree with this. I finally got the last card I was looking for by trading away everything I had left. I tried repeatedly to make even trades (based on card values on COMC) with no success and I got fed up of trying and just traded everything away. Managed to get Rangers base foils, Nash Portraits, Nash and Messier Shining Stars, and Kevin Hayes II starting from 100+ base cards.

The other thing starting to really irritate me is the "I have a Henrik Samuelsson YG, best offer in the next 4 minutes and 23 seconds gets it!!!" posts. Same with the I'm moving my stuff for best offer. Best offer of what? What are you looking for, what should we offer you, etc. If all your inserts, YG's, and jerseys are available, what are you trying to acquire?

I have spent very little time on the Forum because, as people have said, it seems like the same 10 guys offering the same 10 unbalanced trades. When I do go on there, I simply look for certain team icons (haven't found anyone yet that wants my Coyotes cards..). I figure if a guy likes a particular team enough to make that their icon, then they wont mind me sending them base 1-for-1 offers. If they turn it down, I never bother them again. If they accept, then I send more offers, as I know they don't mind. Now, I usually go back to my Trade history to find particular team icons with guys that have already accepted and send those guys offers.
That being said, I have only traded base for base, as I haven't bought any epacks. I have only traded away most of the free cards I acquired since it started. Yes, the site is clumsy and slow at times (that's probably why they started with hockey and not baseball). But for my entire investment of exactly zero cents, I now have a dozen foil inserts in my COMC account waiting for my next delivery. So for once, I am applauding Upper Deck!
Of course, I have to add that they could make some things much easier. It would be nice to be able to search for certain things: team icons, particular userid's, etc. If you want a certain card, you have to rely solely on the list of card owners they want to share with you (apparently at random), and once you start scrolling down that list, the site just gets slower and slower. So that does slow down the trade process. It doesn't really help anyone to show me 300 people that have one card I am looking for that have never made a trade...SHARKS and CAPITALS Fan +++ Tomas Hertl cards: 512 & counting Hidden Content ......
