Rangers vs. Penguins playoff thread.

Well it's playoff time and that is when I really get into hockey, unfortunately this year I think the Rangers will be bounced in the first round, my prediction Penguins in 6 as I just don't think the Rangers have what it takes and Lundqvist isn't good enough to get them into the next round, I want to hear other opinions so talk it up hockey fanatics although I picked the Penguins go Rangers go.

I think Pens is 6 as well. Lundy always is tough to beat but the Pens have been playing so well 5 on 5 and the Rangers seem to struggle. Lundy will keep it close but I imagine that if Fleury is good to go, they should have no problems. Although, Murray hasn't looked bad either! ;)

Rangers in 7.....Lundqvist should never be doubted in the first round. Round 2 or beyond, but I think most people think the Rangers limped into the playoffs, but the same team has gone deep in the payoffs 3 years in a row.

Oh man I'd love for lundqvist to win a cup! But I still say the Pens will defeat them. It's going to be a great series!!

Plus the goaltending matchup between Fleury (Hopefully he'll be ready & at 100%) & Lundqvist will be awesome.

Its going to be a great series for sure, the goal tending is a great match up, fleury vs lundqvist.

The penguins are firing on all cylinders in the last 15 games , so it going to be the Penguins is 6 games

Yeah, that as a Ranger fan is the worry....Pens are easily the hottest team in hockey right now. My only hope is that playoff hockey is always so tight that maybe we will focus on slowing Pittsburgh down and have Lundqvist come up huge when we need him.

I think the biggest difference in this series will rest in the pipes. Event if Fleury or Matt Murray can go for Game 1, what condition will they be in? Even if they are healthy, Fleury has shown a propensity of not having good playoffs (last season he was good)in the past, might be the opening the Rangers need in this series.

Hoping you are right but it just seems the 2 teams are going in opposite directions. The Penguins have been gaining momentum for the playoff push while the Rangers let home ice slip away and that is going to hurt them.
