Not sure what to do !?
Need some help here, i pulled a tarasenko fleer showcase red hot glove tarasenko auto game used /18 it was redeemed almost 2 years ago i have recently contacted UD about sending me the card with out the auto..... Yea they wont do that so now i am not sure what to do, i could be waiting another two years but its the what if factor. In return i would like a high end replacement gretzky roy howe or some one in that range of players for my pc but i feel the book value on the tarasenko is lower because it is not live. I just dont want to get hosed on a what UD feels is a fair replacement but then there is the what if he does sign ......... Any help or thoughts would be good or even what you got as a replacement for him, i did see a post about receiving a kane auto from panini.

Each redemption case is handled on a case-by-case basis - there's not really a one-fits-all formula.
If you're looking for those type of top calibre players, you'll probably end up with something that is very cool but won't have the same measure of scarcity. It may be "just" an auto with no additional memorabilia, but you never know.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Im in a similar situation, I am waiting on the regular Tarasenko patch auto from showcase (along with Jonas Brodin for some reason) and the last update they made was that they were going to get him to sign some stuff at the all star game but they ended up not being able to do that. They did manage to get him to sign some for some of their other products before that so I am still waiting because its not like hes refusing to sign and Upper Deck keeps promising hes their number 1 target. Also because I am building that patch set I won't take a replacement unless they guarantee me the card will never be produced. Like RGM said, you never really know what you're going to end up with if you request a replacement so you might be better off just waiting at least for a bit longer.

Personally, if it is a card you really want, I'd be patient and go three years, unless you get good Intel that he is not signing. At least you know with UD having the exclusive multi-year NHL contract, they have incentive to get Tarasenko to sign and there will be no shortage of products being made that can be used as a replacement, if it comes to that.

Yea i was leaning towards waiting, i feel like the replacement card would lead to me posting in the "why why why did i do that" thread
