Minihelm Question
I have three or four old Team USA batting mini helmets that came from an ice cream parlor (Baskin Robbins I think) when I was a kid. I would love to get them signed, but trusting the mail is beyond me sometimes with things like that.
I was thinking about doing like what Topps does, and send clear stickers with the letter describing the project to the players, and applying the stickers to the helmets when/if I get them back.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks in Advance.

I just sent out two Texas Rangers mini helmets to Puerto Rico yesterday. As far as the stickers, are we talking about authentication or what with those?

I was actually just thinking about sending the olympians clear stickers, and asking them to sign them, and putting the stickers on the helmets when they get back.
Not for authentication, but so that I can get multiple guys on one helmet without risking the loss of the helmet in the mail.

Ohhhhhhhh. You want them to sign the sticker, not the helmet. It would probably work, but won't look as nice. Also, some players are reluctant to sign anything that is blank. I have gotten back a few index cards with notes saying that they can't sign a blank card.

Makes sense. I'll risk the helmets. Thanks for the input, I see that as an issue now. :)

Speaking of, how did you package them?
Thanks.

I just put them in a bubble mailer with a return mailer and LOR. Postage paid on everything.
