Canada Post strike this summer
hi all,
I just received an email at work saying that Canada Post should be on strike starting July 2nd. Anyone else know about this?

I've heard rumors but no confirmation. Although sometimes I wonder if we'd even see a difference.

Not sure if it's a strike or a lockout, but yes. I've suspending all ebay purchases now until we know what's coming.

Even if it does happen usually the government passes back to work legislation quickly. So while there will be a delay hopefully it won't be a long one

Another excuse for my American sellers to charge $10+ to send to Canada. Oh, this is an expensive addiction!

Even if they do go on strike the service will still be the same. SLOW

I agree. I feel bad charging $10.00 to ship to Canada, but when you break it down, seller lose money at $10.
Since Feebay charges Final Value fee on Shipping, that automatically takes $1.00 off. It costs $9.03 to ship (3oz or less) with Ebay shipping labels that include E-Delcon service (delivery confirmation). Every single purchase of one card with $10.00 Shipping LOSES $.03.
I have started recommending Canadian buyers set up a COMC account to take advantage of their discounted shipping and then only have to pay US postage rates on Ebay.

Stop using ebay shipping to Canada. Pretty simple solution.
