    2016 Diamond Kings Blaster

Decided to splurge and treat myself to a Diamond Kings Blaster as a "Welcome Back To The Hobby" break.

    Notable Base:

    Kris Bryant

Cards I Wish Weren't In Here:

Diamond Kings Originals - Pete Rose

A mini of some guy I never heard of.

That's about it. Overall, value-wise, I got absolutely crushed. But I like the look/feel of the cards and I think the product itself is fantastic for the true collector (minus the Pete Rose part. I hate that guy).*

*I should caveat the "true collector" comment. A "true collector" doesn't legitimately care about logos or value. They appreciate cards for their intrinsic beauty and novelty. The kind of people who can value a base card above some super-mega-invisifractor-quintuple-autographed-with-DNAverification. The cards and the art are beautiful. Sure, generic uniforms don't look as good as the real thing, but when you play a pick-up game of baseball at the local ball field, who gives a flip about logos then? You know what team you're on. Just a mini-rant because I genuinely feel that Panini gets a bad rap when a lot of their products are top notch compared to their competitors.

As long as I don't die or give up on cards before I obtain more factory sealed packs, I suspect the next break can't go worse in terms of pulls. Unless it's like a Pete Rose The Living Legend Blaster or something dumb like that. But I wouldn't buy such a thing. HAH!

I really dislike Pete Rose. I don't know why. And I don't mean to sound so haughty with my opinionated tirade on "true collectors" but it seems like the boards and internet are littered with so many people who are only concerned with turning a quick buck that the actual spirit of collecting and cards has fallen by the wayside.

Did you get a red frame numbered to 99 they usually come 1 per box, I like you do like the look of this unlicensed product and I did manage to hit a couple of auto relics in the 5 I have bought over time, seems like a good selling retail product as it has dried up in my neck of the woods.

I think I did get a card #/99. Probably some yankee nobody's heard of ;-)

I'll be looking for these when they come out on discount for sure...
