Bad trade.
I don't have a problem with Larsson (he's a guy that's still young, has some upside, MIGHT turn into a REAL top-10 blueliner yet - but I doubt it) but to trade Hall? It doesn't make any sense. If the return was one of those other dmen that were moved today, okay.... but you're not getting a guy who is close to being one of the 10 best D in the league.... but you're giving up the second best LW in the game?
It doesn't matter if they're going to get Lucic as a new LW in a couple of days.... with Hall you had an elite player to anchor a 2nd scoring line. Now?? You're hoping that someone else can step into that role, and you've got nobody who has proven they can.
If it had been RNH in a 1-for-1 swap, I would have said fine. Eberle?? No problem. Hall? I'm pissed. I hope it works out, but I can't see how you win a trade when you give up the best player.
How's that Seguin deal working out for Boston?

Reading a lot of disappointment in EDM with this trade. I heard a lots of chatter the past few days here of RNH for Dumba. I'm not sure if it was a 1 for 1 or a bigger deal, but would Oiler fans prefered this deal or that deal?

I love this deal... Win-Win for both teams. Taylor Hall is high maintenance with bad attitude. Oilers can't win with his work ethics and Hall only plays when he wants to. Culture needed to be change !!!
Too bad for his hobby values.

Apparently not. That's too good of a move for Bergevin.

horrible day for our hobby too.
Subban, Hall and Stamkos all confirmed in non hockey markets.
after the Hall deal, I doubt a winger will ever be drafted in the top 10. Centres and D-men - the message is loud and clear.Last edited by rustyisin; 06-30-2016 at 11:22 AM.

Nashville is a "non hockey market" now?

For the Hobby, it is 100% one of the markets that get no love.
And I would agree, for the Hobby, having Stammer / Subban / Hall in the places they call home now is not good for the hobby.

Hobby death in small markets for those 3 guys...
On the other hand, Adam Larsson is getting lots of hobby love now. Collectors bought all of his key RC the past 2 days especially The Cup RAP RC. Too bad his Ice RC is out of /499 and not /99. His cards will jump up huge when the season starts; Those crazy Oilers collectors will be chasing.Last edited by rockband; 07-01-2016 at 01:15 AM.
