(Another) Pet Peeve about Posting Successes
... can anyone tell me why some people insist on post-dating their successes? Why do I think that this is happening?
First of all, some posts show up with the following date early in the afternoon of the previous day. Even allowing for time zone differences, this is not when mail would usually be delivered.
Secondly, some of these same people post successes on Sundays and holidays (like today). Are you really getting special delivery?
Why does this matter? It doesn't - just seems a little desperate trying to keep your postings at the front of the listings.

... interesting point. I believe that most of the people doing this, however, have indicated U.S. residence.

I know we have some members in the military, and I don't know that their mail gets delivered to them only Mon-Saturday.
However, I assume this is the same phenomenon as people putting a "First" comment on a story on any other site.
