Does anyone knows if wrapper redemption will be back for 16-17 O-Pee-Chee?
Can't find any info on that. Thanks for the help.

Let's hope those OPC logo patches die a quick death and do not return. I might actually buy some OPC this year if that is the case.

The Team Logo Patches are pretty popular (and the SSP's fetch big dollars) -- what needs to go are the screen-printed versions of the players. Yuck. Oh, that and the weird TIE Fighter OPC Patches. Those were hideous.

Yes, the TEAM logos were very cool, and I have a few. It was the OPC LOGO patches with the players that were just bad.
I also liked the Mascot idea. Although I wish they would make them less rare. I understand not everyone is going to want every mascot, but they were going for way too much money. I would definitely want a SLAPSHOT and SJ SHARKY card, but there is no way I am going to pay over $50 to get one.

I hope the wrapper redemptions return this year. My guess is yes but who knows.

I see where you are coming from Sharky but one of the reasons OPC does well is because it has those tough inserts. Making them easier to acquire would devaluate an already fairly inexpensive product. For the most part people complain that inserts aren't worth anything and rightly so but OPC is using the '90s recipe' when inserts were worth something and these weren't #d, auto'd or any type of memorabilia. In fact OPC is using manufactured patches, the most despised memorabilia, and made it into a positive.
OPC has achieved the same success with the 'Retro-Award Winners' set, super popular and this one has literally nothing special going for it.
IMO I think this proves once more that a well thought out design and tough odds will beat out numbered, autos and memorabilia cards.
