OLD school, 2 Hobby boxes of 2006-07 H&P

I found these at the local Walmart and I figured that there is a decent autograph checklist with no redemptions, so why not take a swing for $29.99 a box.

first thing I always loved about this set was the deep base set. Great mix of legends and current NHL stars before they were stars.

a couple of inserts per box, nothing really special:

Then 1 game used per box, decent low numbered hits, unfortunately the player selection is BLAH

(Jersey is gold version /20, Patch is silver /19 I believe)

Finally, the Autos, at least all 4 have played in the NHL, 3 of them are legitimate starters, 2 with Stanley Cups, so really, only the Tambellini is a total miss.

all in all, it was fun to open this stuff, but it sure would have been nice to hit one of the bigger autos (Crosby, Malkin, Ovie, Tavares, Stamkos, Lemieux, etc... ) from the Checklist, or have better names on my game used pieces, but such is life.

Nice break. I like opening the old stuff. Found a 10/11 Pinnacle box at Walmart too. Seems they are stocked with some older boxes lately (also spotted some old Victory, Donruss Priority, MVP, etc).

Looks like a fun break!
