Password Reset Policy
Members -
I will starting to implement a MANDATORY password change if you have not done so in the last 90 days starting immediately!
In addition to this forced password change, you will not be able to use the same password for 1 year.
This has started with the Admins already.
This will follow with the SCF Staff members
All other members will see this no later than October 6th.
You can change before the forced change by going to UserCP --> My Account --> Edit Email & Password
or
Clicking on this link
This is something that is being implemented to make SCF a more secure environment.
I apologize for the short notice

Excellent idea I wish more sites did this!

I absolutely hate this idea. I use multiple devices and use multiple sites. Last thing I want to do is change my password forget it have to reset it on another device. That game gets old quick.

So am I and so are a lot of people.
Is it an inconvenience, sure. But If there are measures that can be taken to protect SCF and the members, it would be foolish not to review and take the action.

I can understand if there was sensitive information stored on this site but there is not. This is a sports card forum and not a site that you store credit information on.

However, there is information we capture for the trade manager that, while not credit, can be used for malicious intent.
As an aside - I am also working on adding a SSL Certificate as there is a potential for added functionality as a full marketplace solution is built (still done the road).
