New CFL Collector

I was lucky enough to pull the Moon auto out of a box and I bought the non auto off eBay. I'm still working on finding a 2016 Reilly jersey and need pretty much all of the patches 14-16. The 2016 high gloss cards are really tough too. I haven't really collected much more than a few Jersey cards from pre 2014.

Wow! That Moon auto is rare indeed. I don't think I've seen a copy listed anywhere, though there is the non-auto on eBay right now. Not sure what it's sold for in the past so I'm not sure if the guy is out to lunch with his starting price or not.

There IS a Reilly jersey on eBay now. Let me know if you are planning on acquiring it, and I'll make sure I don't bid against you.

The non auto I bought was listed for $150 and I think I ended up getting it for $80ish. I've been bidding on the Reilly jersey but I'm not sure how high I'm willing to go. By all means go ahead and bid, I wouldn't expect you to hold back.

My son got hosed on his hobby box. He got a SJ Green Jersey card, but not a whole lot else. He has some OPC Eskimos that he'd part with if you're interested in those - McCoil, Reilly, Bowman. But other than that, I don't have a lot of trade bait unfortunately. I have a bunch of 1-100 base singles too, but it appears that you're flush with those.

I might just buy another box and see what comes of that. Does anyone know off hand where a guy could maybe strike a good deal on a 2015 Box? I may buy two if the price was decent.

$80ish sounds about right for the non-auto; admittedly it's tougher since there are NFL Moon collectors out there, but even still, it's a regional brand and a lot of collectors won't really consider that a "true card" of his. I'll see what I can do with it.

The Reilly went for a big amount. I can't even imagine what a Patch /15 would go for......

Nice! I live about 5 minutes away from Wayne's. He doesn't carry a ton of CFL but he's been super helpful helping me track down a few things for the collection, plus of course supplies and the like. Back in the day, he wouldn't sell me any Osgoods because he was too busy putting them away for my aunt to buy. LOL

Yeah that seemed like way too much for a Jersey card, eventually one will come along for the right price. Yeah I imagine the patches are pricey.

Hey you guys, I've been a bit busy and couldn't join in on this discussion, but! Since Darian Durant's rights were traded to Montreal a couple days ago his stuff has become HOT! I have all my CFL base cards up on ebay starting at .24, and I had two DD's. One sold a the the BIN of 1.04, and the other has bids of at 2.00 right now.... For a base card!

So maybe if you have extras of his you might want to get them up because they are selling good.

I wish I had doubles of his jerseys or OPC. Those might just be like gold...

For sure. I haven't been to West's Sports Cards here in town, but will have to check them out one of these days too.
