A name I'm surprised I haven't seen so far is Milan Hejduk. Sure, he was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, but with how much he was scoring in his career, he should definitely be in the HHOF.
Another name which is a tad more controversial would be Vincent LeCavalier. He dropped off in his last few years, but I'd see him as being eligible.

Hejduk is another name the proves there are a lot of deserving players who will probably be overlooked. Not saying he will be, but he could be!Always looking for Senators cards! Must be a draft pick, or the card is identifiable as a Senators card before I want it!
As most of you know, I suffered a fairly severe stroke in April '25, so mail goes out anytime!

Your list is bang on, and everyone else has filled in the holes.
I just think Iginla and Thornton will be in the HOF before Jagr though....... He'll still be playing!
Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

Iginla is an almost definite possible maybe, simply because of his games played, goals, overall points, Gold Medals, and Rocket Richard trophy. Not really sold on Jumbo Joe, because, aside from last year's Cup run, what has he really done? Not knocking the guy, but I don't see it!

When it's all said and done, I think Toews will make it but if he were to retire today, I don't think he has the stats. His goal and point totals have never jumped off the page at me. I know he's a good two-way player (he's won a Selke and finished top-5 in Selke voting five additional times) and he's a great leader. It's not the offensive Hall of Fame but individual accomplishments play a big factor. His teammate Patrick Kane has all the individual awards he would need (Calder, Conn Smythe, Hart, Art Ross, Ted Lindsey) and 3 Cups will solidify his case (he's also averaged over a point a game until this point). Toews still has some work to do to be a shoo-in in my opinion.
I think Chara and both Sedins will get strong consideration and likely make it. Erik Karlsson, Malkin and Doughty will be first ballot after a few more productive seasons. Stamkos and Price are well on their way to making it.
Players like Quick, Getzlaf, Perry, Kopitar have to keep playing at a high level for several more years to get in, in my opinion.
As much as I'd love to see Doan get in, I don't think he will. I have a strong feeling Hejduk and Lecavalier will get the label of "good player, not otherworldly great player" and that will hurt their chances (plus neither had 500 goals or 1000 points). Elias and Marleau will be a close call, seeing as how Recchi (12th all-time in points) and Andreychuk (14th all-time in goals, career leader in PPG) are still on the outside looking in.Last edited by warr10r; 01-08-2017 at 07:23 PM.
