Is it worth buying older cases of the cup since they are discounted or are all the good rookies gone from the sets more then likely or is it better to stay with the most recent releases ? Any input appreciated!

With old cases comes the risk of pulling old, expired redemption cards. Not sure if it would apply to many rookie cards though.

I would say if you can still get them for a good price, take the gamble. There's probably beauties in there people would still be interested in, depending on the year.

There's always the concern about redemption cards but they do have an exchange program for that in some circumstances. Regardless of the year there will always be some great buried treasures.

I was looking at 11-12 for pretty much 1/3rd of the cost.

Also with THE CUP there been those stories of repacked boxes and cases. Just a fyi buy from a reputable source. Best of luck in your quest for old high end cards.
