Falcons loss or Patriots win.
Now that the game is over I would like to know do you think the Patriots comeback was awesome and deserves to be mentioned as the best ever, or do you think the Falcons gift wrapped the comeback and made it easy for them. Here are my thoughts, Atlanta got lucky with the 2 turnovers by The Patriots in the first half, both while being in scoring position, especially the pick 6. The game should've never been 21-0 in the first place. I think Atlanta screwed up big time in the 4th quarter though as they were still leading 28-9 entering it. All they needed was a field goal to put it away and with a little over 3 minutes left in the game they had everything in position to seal the deal, 2nd and 1 at the 24 yard line a running situation no doubt, but Ryan gets sacked, no big deal they are still in field goal range but that sack also allowed the Patriots to use a time out and rest their defense. The next play surely they are going to run, nope another pass and a holding penalty and now they are out of field goal range. I had no problem with calling a pass play on 3rd down here but my problem was why have a play where even if the ball was caught they still were out of field goal range, if I am coaching I just throw a hail mary into the endzone what is the worst that could happen an interception. The Falcons defense was gassed as the Patriots had almost twice as many plays and almost double time of possession. I think Dan Quinn had multiple brain cramps in the closing parts of this game, first of all if he had just ran the ball on 2nd and 1 even if they don't make it they still have 3rd and short and they would've been running more time off the clock. I still give the Patriots credit for driving over 90 yards to tie the game but it never should've come to that. Enough of my ramblings discuss away.

I definitely think it was a Patriots win. The Falcons didn't play well at all in the second half, but they didn't play atrociously. The Patriots just really started to make the plays they didn't make in the first half. I also think the front 7 for the Falcons was extremely tired from all the stunts and blitzes they had been running all game. The Falcons also had some really bad breaks in the second half. The Edelman circus catch, questionable penalties, etc. Overall, it was some really good football and a blast to watch.

The play calling when in field goal range in the 4th was suspect. Hit that field goal and you more then likely win the game. So I'd say a pretty big choke job there.

Patriots win. The Falcons didn't even play that well when they were leading.

Biggest choke job in the history of the NFL. The Falcons had over a 99% chance to win and didn't. They blew it. The Patriots took advantage of all the miscues and mistakes and did what they needed to do to win, but the Falcons had the game won and gave it away.
