Monday added to spreadsheet.
Congrats to GamerRoy, bearpup, and rjabreu88 for achieving the rare 9SP/30RP daily high score.
Thanks to those who wished me well with regards to my shoulder injury. I suffered a subluxation while trying to heave the ball from the warning track to the cut-off man. A subluxation is a partial dislocation. It comes out, but not all the way. Still, it came out, it sat there out of the socket for a good while, and I carefully got it to go back in. THEN, while messing around with my shoulder, I caused it to come out a second time! That time was scarier, and took longer for me to finally get the shoulder to slide back into place. By that time, my buddy who was in the field beside me had walked over and asked me if I was ok, all while my shoulder was out of its socket for the second time. I gave him an honest, "No, my shoulder is dislocated right now" haha. While walking off the field on the injury substitution, I got it to slide back in that second time. The result is I shocked/damaged the tissue in the shoulder while that was happening. It probably sounds pretty bad, but it'll probably be all healed up in a few weeks. It definitely isn't a major shoulder injury. Having said that, I'm going to go through the process of getting an MRI and finding out if I need surgery on the shoulder, as this isn't the first time that this has happened to me. I know I tore something in there about 8 years ago trying to throw a frisbee too hard as well, so it'll be nice to get that MRI for both the recurring shoulder subluxation issue and the old tear. I'm prepared to go under the knife if need be. All these injuries over nothing are starting to tick me off, and I'm not prepared to say goodbye to my "active" days yet at age 37. Wish me luck going forward. In the meantime, my shoulder feels less than great, and I appreciate those kind words! ... Did I mention this was mixed slo-pitch?Last edited by ravens_creed; 05-17-2017 at 12:26 AM.
