Hello from Orlando
My name is Joe Hoffman, but all my friends call me Coach H. I have been collecting cards since I was 10 and since I'm pushing 70 now it is now time I give back. I started a Foundation called Cards For Kids www.cardsforkids.us and I am giving away over a million of my cards to sick kids. You can go to the website to find out more about me,,, and if any of you need cards for charities please do not hesitate to ask for my help.
I had a water pipe burst in one of my back bedrooms where I stored all my really good cards and the insurance company is refusing to pay because they say no baseball card collector could possibly own close to a million cards without the cards being part of a business,,, so if any of you own really large collections,,, or know of anyone that owns really large collections like mine could you tell me PLEASE so I can prove this to the insurance company. Coach H- Welcome to SCF! Sorry to hear about the damaged cards. I am a collector as well. I don't have a million cards, but I would if I could.
Always Looking for:
A) Graded Vintage (Pre-1980) (BGS, BVG, PSA, SGC) in all sports
B) Graded True RC's (No inserts or parallels) (BGS, PSA, SGC) in all sports
C) Certified Auto and GU cards of players from the 70's and further back in all sports

Always looking for Senators cards! Must be a draft pick, or the card is identifiable as a Senators card before I want it!
As most of you know, I suffered a fairly severe stroke in April '25, so mail goes out anytime!

Coach, sorry to hear about the insurance company issues. It is something that we must have to be legal, but DO NOT ever have an issue!!! I was in the insurance business 8+ years and saw too much of it. Gladly out now. The 2 stories about Cannon and Lisa are hard to read with two daughters 7 and 5 of my own. You are a true asset to this site. Good luck with it all and welcome to SCF.
