Honda Classic Golf Tourney - PGA Natl

Honda Classic Tues (2/21/17) & Weds (2/22/17). Whenever I attend golf tourneys I always ask myself the same thing afterward, "why do I even bother going to graph spring training baseball teams?" I also got a ton of selfies with players that I didn't need their graph. I didn't encounter one single player that was rude or a jerk! LOL

Danny Willet (Masters champ) & Bryson DeChambeau (Masters low amateur champ); Willet also signed my multi-signed Masters flag upping the total of past winners to 29.

Danny Willet Masters scorecard & glove

Bryson DeChambeau & Zach Johnson signed magz

Adam Scott signed magz & glove

David Leadbetter on Masters sc (didn't have anything else for him)

    Jim Herman signed magz

Nick Whatney & Kevin Kisner signed magz

Ian Poulter signed SI (even he was unusually nice!)

Sergio Garcia glove & Ernie Els Oakmont sc

Smylie Kaufman, Jason Dufner & Daniel Berger signed gloves

Clockwise from top left: Russell Knox, Vaughn Taylor, Matt Fitzpatrick (Northwestern) & Emilliano Grillo signed Masters sc

Signed tee-time booklets: Sean Foley (L), Brooks Koepka (R) & Steve Spurrier (Bottom)

2009 Presidents Cup flag added Stewart Cink, Zach Johnson, Lucas Glover & Sean O'Hair

Added Ernie Els & Bob Toski to Golf HOF flag. Ernie actually stayed & read the names on the flag out loud & said in reverence how Mr. Nicklaus plus Bob Charles had signed it. He had his agent take a pic of the flag & was talking about it on the tee box - pretty cool stuff.

Golf balls signed by:Wm McGirt, Charles Howell, Rafa Cabrera Bello, Anirban Lahiri, Retief Goosen & Branden Grace.

Thank you. It's just disappointing that they don't have the Cadillac WGC at Doral in Miami anymore (would have been next week!).

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Took the wife for a relaxing day for the 1st actual day of the Honda Golf tourney today. I decided to take 3 golf gloves & a couple of Masters scorecards so I could just put them in my shorts pockets just in case. When we were leaving I decided to go by the driving range and bingo!

Justin Thomas signed a glove (added his 59!), Masters sc & the daily pairing booklet - plus I got a pic with him.

Bryson DeChambeau & Kelly Kraft signed gloves

I could have gotten a bunch more sigs but I had nothing left and the wife was ready to leave by 4pm. I have all week tix but I doubt I will take anymore stuff (maybe a few golf balls - LOL!).

2nd Round of the Honda Classic, Fri (2/24/17). I couldn't resist taking a couple of golf gloves & balls - I wasn't disappointed.

Johnny Miller signed glove & Rickie Fowler glove/ball

You cleaned up this week. Does the sharpie bleed on the gloves after a while or do they last? Was anyone tough to get this week?

Yes, it was a great and unexpected bunch of successes. The gloves I had signed several years ago in "black" still look good with no bleed. All the players I asked for a graph and/or a selfie were all great (unlike most of the baseball types!). My favorite experience was having Els stop to sign my HOF flag and go through all the names on the flag. I thought it was amazing that he knew all the names and was genuinely humbled by seeing some of them. I'll leave you with one of favorite pics from the tourney, Rickie - who should win today, I hope.

Great pic and Rickie got it done today. One of the best signers on tour, so I'm happy that he grabbed a win.
