OPC Platinum has been a huge hit the last 2 years. I have been wanting to collect my first Upper Deck set since ... 11-12 season. I thought OPC Platinum was it (because of real photography) however I do not like the look of the cards this year!

I dunno... we'll see.

@Cunnuc I'm with you on the actual on-ice photography aspect of Platinum. Seeing players in their natural environment, instead of some sanitized background, makes for such a better hockey card. I hope they look better in person than the pre-production photos, as yeah they're a little bland-looking right now. But they'll add the technology elements to make them pop for sure.

I agree with you guys on the photography - seeing players and on the ice is very suitable for a set like OPC/OPCP. Can't wait for this release, always some great looking parallels come out of here!

Also.... Can't wait for another one of @RGM81's annual Price rainbows as well... They are always a thing of beauty!

Totally agree.

And I'm just thinking out loud here, but since it's an already parallel heavy release (lots of pretty parallels in OPC/OPCP is great I think), I wonder if UD will add and additional 1 or 2 more parallels to OPCP on e-Pack? Should be quite the pull for players/team collectors alike.

Maybe it's already been announced already and I've missed it, but I think it would be a nice idea to add to an already impressive OPCP rainbow for collectors. Just my 2 cents.

The base don't look great, IMO. The Retro, on the other hand, look like the best ones yet.
