signed 4x6 photos versus trading cards. What do you prefer?

What is more collectible, a signed 4x6 photo or a signed trading card? I've collected signed trading cards for years but want to try something different. What do you prefer? I know many of you collect larger photos but I wanted to keep the cost down. I printed some of my paintings in 4x6 format. For me it is very circumstantial. Photos are cheaper, but they harder and more expensive to store. If I have cards already I'll probably send those if I think a signature will look nice, but I have a lot of signed 4x6 as well, usually if I don't have something for someone or if there are certain images I want a signature on.

I know there are 4x6 pages and hard sleeves for storing them.

I like cards because they have the players name already on them. In 5 years, you may not recognize a player on a photo or an autograph on a 5x7, but you would know with a trading card. That's just me.
Working on autographed 1987 Topps Baseball set:

You can always use nice labeling product on the backside of the photo which contains the info of the signee

I prefer cards. But I do take photos with a professional camera at Royals games and if I get a good shot of a player that signs ttm, I get those printed so I can send those ttm.

Awesome..ive never had an opportunity to go to a game, but I would be taking photos as well

I look for 5x7 oversized cards (box toppers, promo sets, team giveaways, etc) whenever possible.
Get the best of both worlds with a photo sized print on card stock.

I had a bunch of the oversized Donruss baseball cards from around 1985 but have no idea what became of them. I may gave given them out to the neighborhood children a few years back. I like those 70's sportscaster cards that had every sports known to man on them.

I prefer cards, but I will use 4x6 or 5x7 photos if cards aren't readily available. I also prefer to get the photos encapsulated (e.g. by PSA), which helps keep them permanently in excellent condition
