Quebec Shipping Addresses
So I'm preparing shipments for a bunch of auctions that had ended yesterday and I noticed a bunch of the Quebec addresses don't put the street qualifier in their address.
For example
47 Senator
City, QC
X0X 0X0
when it should be
47 Rue de Senator or 47 Senator Street.
It's happened more often than not.
So... Why is this a thing? Does this cause issues with mail delivery?
And why only Quebec addresses? I've never seen it with non-Quebec addresses.

Hi there,
I'm in Québec myself and I never saw that before.
Normally, the street name should be in french (rue du sénateur, avenue du sénateur, etc)
if you dont have all the street information i think the postal code should be enough.

I've seen it several times, and yes, only from Quebec addresses. Why? No clue. Just to be on the safe side I run their postal code through the Canada Post "find an address" search function, and I make sure I enter the address as they have it listed. No chance of confusion that way.

Thanks for all of the replies.
I never thought of putting the postal code into the Canadapost website to check for the correct address. I have been using maps.google.com to verify the address, plus as an additional creep factor I can see the buyer's house....
I will start using Canadapost from now on.

A guy bought a few Habs cards off me and lived a couple of blocks from my place of work. I put his info in Google Maps and used street view as I decided to deliver to his house instead of mailing to him. Saw both his house and a guy on the sidewalk wearing a Habs hat. Probably the buyer.
