I think they could have pulled the series win if they had a decent goaltender.

Statistically, Calgary "outplayed" Anaheim in almost every category except for goaltending - https://www.nhl.com/news/anaheim-duc...?tid=287344830

Wish we could have gotten Talbot that summer, oh well. Maybe this year we can get a good Duo, otherwise we will be the Jets 2.0

I was at games 3 and 4 and man, when Elliot let in that weak goal in game 4 it was like the air went out of the entire building. Everyone knew they weren't coming back. The biggest kick in the #### tho was losing that lead in game 3 and letting them win on OT. The flames absolutely dominated that game until halfway through the 3rd and you could tell they were scared, no one wanted any part of touching the puck. Amazing example of how experience can help (in the case of Anaheim) or lack of experience can hinder a team in the playoffs.

Game 3 - Goals 1 and 2 shouldn't have went in. He kicked the rebound right into the slot for the 1st goal. 2nd goal was another short side shot from the far boards.

If he doesn't let that 2nd goal in, I think the Flames players would have been fine, going into the 3rd, 4-1 lead. Then Elliott just got rattled even more after the high stick goal. No mental fortitude from him.
