Redemption Question
Submitted a redemption via UD website. Accepts the code and says athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient. Card is and has been live for a couple of months now. How long after I submit do they change that? I submitted last week and was wondering how long it usually takes before they realize that the card is live and in stock and change it to "packing card up"?
*****UPDATE*****
So I called UD today and asked about the card since it has been live for a couple of months (Card is /25). Agent tells me that they send the cards to the athlete to sign and sometimes they don't send back in one batch and spread it out. This sounds legit if we were talking a huge run like the FWA where there is almost 1,000 but this is /25. Why would he sign like 5 and send those in when he could sign the whole batch of 25 and be done with it. Does this sounds like BS to anyone else?Last edited by ari4l2010; 05-11-2017 at 03:51 PM.

Same thing happened to me earlier this week. Live cards have been out for awhile now so I'm hoping it doesn't take too long for them to fulfill!

Call them. I had some in there for 2 months, that I knew were live. I called them, mentioned the cards and they had them out to me within 2 weeks.

Hopefully you get these quick. I would call and see what they say. Good luck!

Upper Deck is famous for their meaningless answers. I received a card last month from them that I submitted 9 months previous. When I made inquiries about it they kept blaming it on players signing it and then on poor mail service.

Personally, I don't think there's any rhyme or reason as to how often or how many an athlete signs.
I've been waiting about 8 months for a Malcolm Subban card, and I can't figure out why he hasn't signed it and sent it back yet...

They actually do have this problem. They're not just given one set or sub set of cards to sign. They're given a bunch. Their agents hold onto the cards and get them to sign as often as possible. Some players are easy to deal with and others sign only a few at a time and can take years to get everything back. Their agent then collects the cards and sends them to UD in batches. When I asked why they didn't wait for a complete set to be done before releasing they simply stated that having some cards is better than none. There's only so much they can do to get a player to sign.
So it is annoying and frustrating but I can totally see it being a possibility. Hope they sign soon!

They actually told me the same thing last time I called as I have about 60 ultimate redemptions waiting. I told them that lots were live, then they told me about the batch thing. Funny thing is within 2 weeks about 50% of them were suddenly being shipped to me. I think it's just their newest spin to calm people down...
