Save my Tom Brady!
Hi, been looking at some of the older cards with all the craziness surrounding Tom Brady's. I have a complete set of 2000 quantum leaf that has actually been stored properly upstairs, most of the base card are separated fine but the rookies were all stuck together they must have had a different coating or something. I have been looking at some of the online videos of how to separate cards and haven't had any luck. I see a couple recommend the freezer or the microwave, I can't imagine that's a good thing. Has anybody had any luck with this? If so what did you do? It is so nice to finally see some of these older cards have some value but it doesn't do any good if you can't get them apart without damaging them. Thanks.
I mainly collect Cowboys. My main goal is to put a team set together for every set (including sp's). I will trade for pretty much any Cowboys I don't have if we are trading similar things, low end inserts for low end inserts, etc. The link below is to my wantlist, you will also be able to see all cards I have for trade. I've heard people recommend the freezer and hair dryer methods but I've never been desperate enough to attempt them and if I did it wouldn't be on anything high end or valuable. I would think using a humidifier to get some moisture would help and not hurt but I've never really seen anybody throw that one out there so I probably wouldn't risk it on these cards unless somebody has tried it before.

Thanks for the input, I hadn't heard about the hair dryer that would be worth a try. I have the rc's broken into about four of five blocks and I am leaving the block with Brady in it alone until I have a plan. The other ones the front is damaged on each one where I broke them, some of the blue stays on the back of the card in front of it.

Something I've done before that left no residue was a syringe with uncolored nail polish remover. Once dried, there was no sign of the nail polish remover.
This definitely depends on the surface of the card though. I would test it with two cards from the same set of little value, just to observe the results.
If you're main focus is the Brady, I'd test the blow dryer on a couple others as well and observe the results.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
