    Crests New Adidas Jerseys

The Devils (and probably other teams) tweeted a teaser of their new Adidas Jerseys this morning. I noticed the red on the crest in now appears to be just jersey material rather than patch material. See here:

Seems the plan is to use the jersey to fill the negative space on the crest. I wonder what they will do with the white jerseys? Perhaps the material on the crest is similar to they jersey but still separate? For me the crest is my favorite part of the jersey, so this will definitely take some getting used to.

I heard that the jersey material is in the patch over tweed or what ever patches are sewn onto, so its still a one piece crest. Idk if this has anything to do with trying to lighten the jersey or make it more breathable, but if this is the case it sucks for future one color patch cards.

The bruins jersey is a good example of what I described

and it looks like not every team opted to go this route.

It's not the worst thing in the world. As long as there is some teams optioning for the 'old' crest material look, I'm good with that. It may be odd for a while, but I'm sure we'll get used to it.

Habs have posted their preview image here: https://twitter.com/CanadiensMTL/sta...588225/photo/1

I don't expect a big design change but it does look like they have the same "jersey material" inside the CH as some of the other teams.
